Final Design
1890-1900 | Gilded Age Theme Party Invitation
This is a design for a fictional invitation to a Gilded Age theme party. The style is based on that of the Gibson Girls. I incorporated visuals and colors and employed a similar composition to ads of this period to create a sense of authenticity, as if it were an invitation from that time. My target audience includes people who love vintage styles, particularly those from the 1800s to the early 1900s. I incorporated a sense of depth through layering my objects, included shapes similar to my reference images, and applied colors that match the time period’s aesthetic and reference images. I tried to incorporate my own style by using some extra shading, strategic placement, and some of my favorite colors.
