Alex in Wonderland

*FLASH WARNING* This is a collaboration project that I worked on with one other person named Carmen. I invented the story and we developed the characters and settings. Using OpenToonz, I animated our protagonist, Alex, flipping through book pages, falling down a hole, and falling onto the ground. Carmen animated Alex falling asleep and the monster scene. My friend, Christian, voiced the monsters as well. Lastly, I combined and edited all our footage and audio in After Effects and added sound effects.

This is a collaboration project I did with a classmate for college. Our story is inspired by Alice in Wonderland, but it has a dark twist. The following images are my character designs for our protagonist, Alex. All images and animations were created in OpenToonz.

Below is the final video. We didn't get to animate everything as we planned since the deadline was fast approaching, so we made the video shorter. I edited our clips together in Adobe After Effects. I also added voice clips, provided by my friend Christan, and sound effects from Pixabay.
